Is there a Hisense TV remote app for iPhone?
Yes. Simple TV Remote works with Hisense TVs that run Google TV and Roku TV. The platform depends on the model and the country, so check your exact model number. The free check in the app confirms it on your TV before you pay $5.99, once.
How do I turn on my Hisense TV without the remote?
Press the power button on the TV. Hisense says you can use the power button and side buttons to turn the TV on and change channels and volume, but newer models have fewer buttons, so check what yours has. Once it's on, a phone app can do the rest.
Can my iPhone turn on my Hisense TV?
On Hisense Google TV models, yes from standby, once Wake on Cast is on: Settings > System > Advanced System > Wake on Cast. On models with hands-free voice the setting is called Screenless Mode. It can't turn on a TV that's unplugged.
How do I pair a Hisense remote to my TV?
On a Google TV or Android TV model, turn the TV fully on, stand within 10 feet, open Home > Settings > Remotes & Accessories, and hold the pairing button shown in your Quick Setup Guide for at least 3 seconds. On a Hisense Roku TV, hold the pairing button under the battery cover for 5 seconds, or Back and Home if there's no pairing button.
Why is my Hisense remote not working?
Put in fresh batteries, restart the TV, and pair the remote again using the steps for your TV's system. If the batteries are fine but the remote misbehaves, Hisense suggests taking the batteries out and pressing any key for 1 to 2 seconds. Can I use a Hisense TV without a remote or Wi-Fi?
Only with the buttons on the TV. Every phone remote, including Simple TV Remote, needs the TV already connected to your Wi-Fi. If your TV has never been online, get a replacement remote made for your TV's system to finish setup.
Which Hisense TVs work with Simple TV Remote?
Hisense Google TV and Android TV models, which are most US Hisense TVs from 2019 on, such as the U6, U7, U8, U9, UX, A6 and A7. Hisense Roku TVs work too. From 2025, US codes end in G for Google TV, R for Roku TV, F for Fire TV and V for VIDAA; Fire TV and VIDAA models aren't on our list yet.
Will it work with my UK Hisense TV?
Most UK Hisense TVs aren't on our list yet. Nearly all of them run VIDAA, even when they share a name with a US Google TV model. The two older UK Roku TV ranges, B7120 and A7200G, do work.
Where is the model number on my Hisense TV?
It's printed on the sticker on the back of the TV and on the box. The TV's on-screen menus show the software version but not always the full model number, so the sticker is the surest place.
How do I know which platform my Hisense TV runs?
Look at the home screen or the settings menu, which name the platform. Or type your model number into the checker on this page.
How can I tell which platform my Hisense runs?
Look at the start-up logo or home screen. From the model code: US codes from 2025 end in G (Google TV), F (Fire TV), R (Roku TV) or V (VIDAA). UK codes ending in TUK are VIDAA.
My UK Hisense has the same name as a US Google TV. Will it work?
The UK 55U7NQTUK runs VIDAA even though the US 55U7N runs Google TV.
About Hisense smart TVs
Hisense sells TVs on more smart platforms than most brands. Hisense USA lists Android TV, Fire TV, Google TV, Roku TV, VIDAA and Xumo TV models.
In the US, Hisense's ULED range moved from Android TV (2019–2021) to Google TV in 2022. Since 2025 the same series can ship with Google TV or Fire TV, and the last letter of the model code tells you which: G for Google TV, F for Fire TV, R for Roku TV, V for VIDAA.
In the UK, nearly every Hisense TV runs VIDAA, Hisense's own system. Two UK ranges, the B7120 and A7200G, ran Roku TV. We found no UK Hisense model with Google TV.
