How do I turn on my TCL TV without the remote?

Press the button on the TV. TCL says it's usually underneath or behind the TCL logo. If the TV responds to that button but not the remote, the problem is the remote.

Can my iPhone turn on my TCL TV?

On TCL Google TV models, yes from standby, once Quick start and Network Standby are on: Settings > System > Power and energy > Quick start, and Settings > Network & Internet > Network Standby on 2023–2024 models. Turn the TV off with a short press, because a long press that shuts it down stops network wake. On a TCL Roku TV, use the button on the TV.

How do I pair a TCL remote with my TV?

On a TCL Google TV, turn on the TV, stand within about 3 feet, and hold HOME and OK together until the pairing animation appears. On a TCL Roku TV, hold the voice remote's pairing button for 5 seconds, or Back and Home if it has none.

How do I control a TCL TV without a remote or Wi-Fi?

Without Wi-Fi, only the button on the TV works, so use it to turn the TV on. Every phone remote needs the TV on your Wi-Fi; Roku says its app can't find a TV that isn't online. If the TV has never been connected, a replacement remote is the way to finish setup.

Why is my TCL remote not working?

About TCL smart TVs

TCL started selling Roku TV models in the US in 2014, and Roku TV ran most of its US range through 2022.

TCL's first US Android TV models came in June 2020, and its first Google TV models in August 2021 (the 5-Series S546 and 6-Series R646). Since 2023 its premium QM Mini-LED range runs Google TV, and from 2023 the cheaper S and Q classes come in Google TV (G), Roku TV (R) and Fire TV (F) versions.

In the UK, TCL's C-Series and P-Series ran Android TV in 2020–2021 and mostly Google TV from 2022, with Roku TV (from June 2021) and Fire TV models alongside.
